Conroe
Conroe lies on the east side of I-45, about 38 miles north of Houston. Conroe’s 22,000 residents appreciate quiet, country-like living. What distinguishes Conroe real estate is its country properties. Many homes sit on multiacre plots, allowing residents to keep horses or other livestock on the premises.
Ranch-style living is also available on properties of 60 to 100 acres or more. Homes are a mixture of wood frame and brick and one- and two-stories. Homes cost from $40,000 to more than $1 million. Multifamily units rent from $300 to $600 per month. Condominiums also are available for rent or purchase.
Many Conroe residents commute to Houston to work. Leisure-time activities in Conroe include boating, fishing and water-skiing on the 21,000-acre Lake Conroe. Other amenities include the Del Lago Conference Center near Lake Conroe and the Montgomery County Airport.

Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe, a 22,000-acre lake located only on hour north of downtown Houston, is the place where Houstonians go for week-end getaways, where many lucky families live and play, where businessmen enjoy first-class conference and recreational facilities, and where tourists travel to enjoy water sports, golf, tennis, great shopping and dining.
The lake is 21 miles long and 6 miles wide at the widest part with over 21,000 acres of surface water. It sports marinas, yachts, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, golfing, swimming, picnicking on wooded shores, and general luxuriating in the fresh balmy air, and warm sunshine. The Galleria in Houston, The Woodlands Town Mall, Historic Montgomery antiques, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and the Crighton Theatre complement Lake Conroe's recreational activities by bringing delightful entertainment, shopping, and dining opportunities to Lake Conroe's doorstep.
Lake Conroe is considered one of the most beautiful manmade lakes in the country. Pine woods in Sam Houston National Forest and the forested areas around the San Jacinto River basin surround the lake. Luxury hotels, condos, RV Parks and waterfront real estate developments nestle into the watery and wooded environment.

Working With An Agent >Referrals
You leave the closing feeling really good about the way your agent handled the sale of your home. It was priced well, and by following your real estate agent's advice on how to show your home to its best advantage, you sold it quickly. The agent followed up with the lender and the appraiser to make sure that everything went smoothly and that small problems didn't become big ones. You had heard stories from friends about their stressful moves, and you are relieved and happy that you were spared any serious mix-ups. How do you say "Thanks for a job well done" to your agent?
Real estate agents depend on referrals for a big part of their business. An agent who has served you well will probably do a professional job for your friends or colleagues. The nicest thing you can do for a good real estate agent is to pass their name on to prospective buyers or sellers.
